I just returned from being an artist in residence at the Hambidge Center for the Creative Arts in Rabun Gap, GA. I was handed the keys to Son House, a beautiful, rustic house/studio nestled in the trees. Screened doors made way for the breeze and sounds of birds and rushing water from the creek not far from the porch.

The walk to dinner.
At the Rock House, all the residents have dinner together accompanied by the sounds of the frogs in the marsh down the road.
One of the many trails to explore.
Thanks to the Hambidge Center for this incredibly restorative and fruitful time.
